Introduction: Meet Eileen Lerma, a dedicated fitness enthusiast turned barre instructor with a passion for empowering others through movement. Eileen's journey began with hot yoga in 2012, leading her to discover her love for group fitness classes and ultimately Barre.

Training and Approach: Eileen completed Firefly’s barre training program in April 2023 and began teaching at Firefly and Haslett Hot Yoga shortly after. She believes that Barre is not only a challenging workout but also empowering and fun. Eileen's goal is to create a welcoming environment in her classes where everyone can make the hour their own, offering different variations on moves to accommodate all levels.

Teaching Philosophy: As a stay-at-home mom, Eileen found the courage to pursue her dream of becoming an instructor, overcoming her fear of public speaking in the process. She strives to create a fun and upbeat atmosphere in her classes, where laughter is encouraged, and mistakes are embraced as part of the journey. Eileen's classes are not just about physical fitness but also about providing a space for her students to focus on themselves and enjoy the experience.

Personal Life and Motivation: Outside of the studio, Eileen is a proud mom of three boys with another baby boy on the way. Her family is her pride and joy, and teaching Barre is her outlet to focus on herself and be creative. Eileen loves staying active outdoors with her family, baking, and embracing the warm weather in Michigan.

Words of Encouragement: Eileen's mantra for her students is to have fun, laugh, smile, and push themselves while also taking breaks when needed. She emphasizes the importance of focusing on individual progress and encourages her students to embrace the journey.
